Hi! to all out there...
I came this form in order to gather more infos on my own Aritma 0516 plotter. It was working for years but suddenly I dig it out to run a test on it with my retro computer but I have the following problem:
It initializes ok on moving the head far left.
It plots ok but when I try to park or pick a pen the moving pens holder bar moves forward to change/park pen and is stuck in the engaged position. If i open the printer and rotate the DC motor shaft (located far left) a little bit with my finger the mechanism is working (although very very slow ) to the initial position until next time it is stuck again.
I guess maybe is a problem with DC motor, dc voltage range, reverse problem , driver problem etc , I examined your schematic found from a link here but I cannot find the section refers to this motor.
Any suggestions?
